Transferring System Owner Role

One user must always be assigned to the system owner role. The system owner can transfer the role to another user.


You must be logged on as a user with the System Information Update privilege. By default, the System Information Update privilege is enabled for the following roles: Admin, BI Admin, System Owner, and BI System Owner.






  1. On the Users page of the Security area, select the user you want to assign the system owner role to.
  2. Select  (Assign as System Owner).

The Transfer System Owner Role dialog appears.

  1. Under New Role, enter a new role for the previous system owner, or select  to open a list of available roles.


One or more roles may be selected.

  1. Select OK.


The user you selected is assigned to the system owner role, and the previous owner is assigned to the role you selected.
