Assigning Roles to Users

There are two ways to assign roles to users. You can assign one role to multiple users, or update the role for individual users.

Note

If no role is assigned when users are created or imported, the default role is applied. For more information, see Setting the Default Role.

Assigning a Role to Multiple Users

  1. On the Roles page, select an existing role.
  2. Select  (Assign Role), and select one or more users from the Available Users list.
  3. (Optional) To assign a Concurrent Session License to the selected users, select Concurrent Session License. A Concurrent Session License can be assigned to many users, but only a limited number of users can be logged on at a time. By default, User License is selected. For more information on license types, see Features by License Type for Analytics Models.

Note

This option will only appear if you have purchased Concurrent Session Licenses.

  1. Select one or more users from the Available Users list.
  2. Select OK.

Assigning or Updating an Individual User’s Role

  1. On the Users page, find the required user.
  2. In the user’s row, select the  icon in the Role column. A list of Available Roles will appear.
  3. (Optional) To assign a Concurrent Session License to the selected user, select Concurrent Session License. A Concurrent Session License can be assigned to many users, but only a limited number of users can be logged on at a time. By default, User License is selected. For more information on license types, see Features by License Type for Analytics Models.

  1. Select one or more roles.
  2. Select OK.
